The Transfer is the first in the series of 4 short stories centering around Four from the Divergent Series. This short tells the story of Tobias Eaton's Choosing Ceremony and first initiation tests into the Dauntless Faction, as well as how he earns the name Four.There are 3 other shorts that will be released. According to GoodReads, we should expect: The Initiate in December, 2013; The Son in January, 2014; and The Traitor in February, 2014. Allegiant, the third book in the Divergent Trilogy, scheduled for release in October, 2013.
This short and the other previously released short don't really add anything to the overall experience of the Divergent Trilogy, as you could never read them and still enjoy the series. However, if you are a fan of the Divergent Series and Four (like me!) than I think you will enjoy this short and the shorts to come, as they give us a little peek into the psyche of Four.
